How do get the mirror lights to shut off

It will with the ignition turned off as part of the "Battery Run Down Protection", but with the key in the Accessory position, the lights will stay on all the time.

I have this exact problem at the drive in.

I usually park in the back not to block the view, so no one has really complained yet.

it may come down to installing a swith to break the lights connection....... on position being normal operation and off breaking its power supply...
