I made my first MP3 CD

It was very easy to make. I cant believe how many tracks can be writen. How can you format it so that when you go to info that you can click on the Artist button and the song button able to be pressed and to show the right info instead of no info.

 I cant help you there. All I know is when I burn a disc using Windows Media Player it links the artist name and song title to the track and it displays on the radio without having to press anything.

SIHHR 12-02-2005 04:47 PM

Yeah it does display on the radio. But not on the info if I press for extra info. I'm going to have to look at the book. I will let you know if I find out what I need

I use iTunes for this. I import all my mp#'s at 320k for the best quality, then you must enter in the extra info if you want it to display:

Artist Name
Song Name
Album Name

Once you have saved all this info in iTunes, it is exported every time you burn a CD.

The only drag about mp3 CD's is you don't have the ability to FF or REW a song - only to jump to the next or back to the beginning. For this reason I gave up on mp3's in the car.

JVC has a new DVD compatible head (model 5100), unit that allows you to burn 1100 mp3's on a single DVD and play it in your car! Can you imagine having your entire music catalog on just a couple of DVD's??

It's getting wilder by the minute! :thumb:

I just use an Ipod. My mp3 CD's take too long to load from song to song. Plus I can carry 15,000 tracks in my pocket!!!! :D :thumb:

I got a free I-pod nano when I bought my HHR, I dont know which I;m more excited about the HHR or the I-pod, all though neither one has shown up yet. :red:

I have to say it was a great idea for GM to make a radio that is an MP3 Player and also the ability to plug in external MP3 devices.

hey socal use nero to burn the mp3 cd. By just doing a data cd you can rewind and fastward thru mp3s. Itunes wont let you. :)

Thanks Adam, but I don't really use mp3's in the car. I own a recording studio and am quite particular about sound. Appreciate the tip though! :thumb:

CJ, I believe they are running under the assumption of a 128k sample rate to get 1100 per DVD. Personally, I use 320k if I have to use mp3's. Much better sounding than 192k.

Hope it helps.
