No power to the radio fuse location

Hi All,

I had the Master Cylinder replaced. The radio worked before. afterward no power now. made sure all wires are in place and not loose. I did the negative terminal reset and still the same.

I have checked were all the location that were done shearching thru here and google. Everything that found did not work. The manual says audio and video under the hood number 23.

My question is on a 2007 HHR LT1 standard radio (factory) Where the heck is the fuse for the radio???

"My question is on a 2007 HHR LT1 standard radio (factory) Where the heck is the fuse for the radio???"

As per your owners manual (page 383), it's fuse #23 in the fuse panel under the hood, as you noted. Did you look there?

Try the ground locations also, more likely one got missed during reassembly.

Hi Blue,

That will have check next. I told them to take the negative off first But I think they took the positive off instead. have no clue what happened. Everything else works.

Thanks Blue for helping. I just looked at but can't really tell if it is blown. Going across the street from the shop and get that fuse. If that doesn't do it I will have to check the grounds.

Thanks again,
bluwing

In order to replace the master cylinder one MUST remove the fuse box, therefore there is a strong probability the box is messed up.

Fuse 23 on the BCM (inside fuse box) marked RDO is what I see. It also runs the RCDLR, does the remote door lock system and remote start work?

Fuse 23 under hood is heated seats.

There are 2 underhood fuses (4&6) and the maxifuse near the battery that feed the BCM.

I just looked at the OM, it is misleading in that the second half of the BCM chart is next to the picture of the underhood.

Hi Don,

I checked and replaced the two fuses one under the hood and the one In the console just in case. I checked the connecters to the radio. with the radio on the bench tested it and gave it last rights... if Blue reads this there is a second fuse under the hood. Number 56 labeled Audio..

Thanks for the help and suggestions,
bluwing

So the radio is toast? or fuse number 56?

donbrew 08-30-2016 03:26 PM

Fuse 56 is for the VCIM/OnStar.

Sorry it wasn't just a low buck fix like a fuse or loose wire!
By they, it's fixed! Now crank it up!!
