OnStar/SiriusXM Antenna Rubber Mast Removal

The rubber antenna mast on the back of my 2009 roof .. can it be easily removed? If so, how? There is no tab release and unscrewing doesn't seem to want to work with medium force. The rubber mast is attached to a moveable circular part on the main plastic housing. However, this assembly moves only very slightly when turned. Is it just stuck or what?

It is probably a twist lock thing. Push & twist. That's what the parts catalog says.

I just tried it. It just unthreads, counter-clockwise. No push necessary.
