I know. I mentioned that earlier in this thread. Still not cheap enough to be cost efficient for the do it yourself-er. The way my buddy who owns a shop explains it, the one he has (I don't know the brand) is still considerably less expensive than owning several vehicle specific scanners.

My only point in my previous response, however, was that it didn't have to be a Tech 2....

I also know all of that, but thought it would be important for the casual reader to know the difference between a $149 "scanner" and a $10,000 "scantool".
