Removing Head Unit

I've scanned through these threads and can't find anything that shows how to remove the factory head unit. I have a line out leveler that I want to install but I don't feel like paying someone to do something I can do myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated

The trim around the radio removes very easily, just take something slim under one of the top corners and pull. You can then disconnect all of the switches. Then it's just a few screws for the radio.

This thread should help............https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/show...ight=waterfall

your radio is inside the car right? why is the rain stopping you. Just joking.

The rain isnt stopping me from pulling the radio. It's stopping me from wiring my amp and hookin up my subs and I want to do it all at once. I'm not too sure about playing with electricity standing in water while its raining

What kind of subs and amp are you hooking up?

txbass06 07-21-2009 11:31 AM

One of the two Kicker Comp 12's I have powered by a 900w Rockford Fosgate Amp. As soon as I can find (or build) a box I like, I'm gonna hook the other one up

Nice. Kicker all the way. I have 4 kicker speakers with a kicker cvx in the back powered by a 1000 watt mono alpine amp.
