Sirius adaptor for stock radio w, premium (pioneer) sound

Just picked up my HHR. Searched the forum but didn't find solution. I want to keep the factory head unit (which has the "CAT" button for XM. I want to get a sirius tuner that will work with this system. I have looked all over but it seems the Pioneer system is whats screwing me? I should also add that I do NOT have OnStar.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try Ebay, or a junk yard. You will probably have to have a GM shop Match the new unit to your car. The XM/Sirius receiver lives in the rear passenger side quarter panelling.

Or get an after market add on.

Thanks for the input. I wish it were that easy. It seems that there is a compatibility issue with the premium pioneer units accepting the Sirius tuner directly.

Are you talking about the factory Sirius/XM unit? I am. The after market is not going to work easily, manly on account of it is managed by the "computer".

I've seen sirus kits that use the port meant for the factory XM tuner. However, when I plug my vehicles info in with the radio I have, it says "not compatible."

GM LAN. It's a computer thing. You should be able to deal with the manufacturers tech support.

I don't think it has anything to do with the "premium" radio.
