im about one step from blowin it up
"""Ok so this morning i took my roommate to work and when i got home i turned the car off and the radio didnt go off i thought after i opened the car door it would turn off and nope i had to physically turn it off is there anyone in philly who knows about car radios because i am at a stand still at what the hell is wrong and going on with this radio

Since it is not the original radio it may not be wired right or the adapters may have malfunctioned. Or the RAP (Retained Accessory Power) relay may be stuck.
My guess is something is wrong with the after market install. We got no help for that.

Unfortunately i came to that same conclusion because the wiring is different on the diagram than it is on the actual harness and i dunno if thats how its supposed to be bc they had to substitute wires for other colors... this whole thing is a friggin nightmare but thank you for the help

Another unrelated to the original post story, but similar; Two days ago I started Gregg and the radio came on but none of the speakers worked...... Shut down and turned to on and still nothing. So, I pulled the interior fuse panel cover looking for a speaker related fuse but couldnt find one, so I just pushed down on each fuse and relay individually. Turned key to on and sure enough speakers are working fine. A couple years ago on my way home to work the Gauge Cluster went dead and was fixed this very same way. For any future people, Always check that dang fuse box in the passenger foot-well first, because that area is subject to alot of vibration and after so many years something is more than likely loosened.

Since I have owned Ten 2010/11 HHR's, one of the first things on my bucket list is to check both fuse/relay boxes for loose connections by pushing them down hard enough to seat them firmly.
I find that many of them are not fully seated from the factory as all my HHR's have had very low mileage when I got them.
I attribute it to possible improper install/assembly, Vibration, and the Heat cold cycle which causes expansion/contraction.
This issue seems to be one that is not well known and only gets attention when there is a problem traced back to that source.
The other similar one is the Battery Voltage requirement.
