sweet thanks for the words fellas... yeah I love the speaker box.. although I didn't actually choose the speakers I think they go great with the HHR.. as far as the fuse location, where else would you put it... it pretty much has to go there... If it wasn't for HHR.net I would never have gotten this far.. thanks fellas... oh and tomorrow im installing that dome light turn on...that for sure never would have happen without this forum.....

Your fuse on the main power wire should be as close to the battery as possible. The idea is in case of a short the fuse will save your car from burning to the ground, not to save your amp. Luckily the battery is right underneath so you're probably ok. When the battery is in front some people fuse it in the trunk. Then when a short occurs, the wire burns all the way from under the hood and stops at the fuse in the trunk. Melting evrything along the way. So, with fuse beside battery, short occurs and nothing melts.
