troubles with premium radio..jumping from tuned stations to bad ones + more...

for about the last week our 2LTs premium stereo(Pioneer) has been going crazy. we'll be listening to a station and out of the blue it will jump up to the next click and put it into the static channel(example; 88.7 is a tuned station and the radio will jump to 88.9 which is basically static). and sometimes when you put it back to the tuned station it will jump back to that bad one again right afterwards. it is also doing this when listening to cds. you can start out on track 1 and it will just jump to track 2 right in the middle of track 1. sometimes it will make 2 or 3 jumps, meaning you could be listening to track 1 and it will jump to track 2 then almost immediately after that jump it will jump again to track 3 and so on. has anyone else had a problem like this?

Not here - I would suggest having your dealer order you a new head unit.
I have heard stories of a few being troublesome like yours.

Hope it helps,

I never had that, but the screen on mine would dim and brighten by it's self. The dealer replaced it. I also have the upgraded system.

If it wasn't for the radio jumping "just to the next click", it sounds as if you might be hitting the steering wheel controls. I know that I keep hitting the mute button by accident.

Do what I did. Get a Sirius satellite receiver and hook it up through the aux input in the front. That should take care of any jumping

Mine just started doing it today, but I don't have the Pioneer system. Thus far it's only been the radio stations (haven't tried a CD yet), but the only pattern I can see is that it's been really wet all day today, wetter than my car's seen since I had it, and maybe the excess moisture might have something to do with it?

And I thought I was the only one who did things like that...... first time I did it I thought the darn radio was broken.
