usb problems

I have a questions for you guys. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem or maybe it's normal I don't know. So here it goes.

I have an 09 HHR SS with the usb input i have an 8g stick in there with several folders. It plays no problem but when I select ramdom for the whole stick it only plays songs from the main folder and it plays them in alphabetical order. If i select it to ramdon folder it will mix it up and play randomly from the folder I'm in. So i can't play the whole stick and all folders on random.

Has anyone else noticed this or is it just mime? I didn't want to go to the dealer and have them tell me thats how it works.

You really need to get the manual out and read up on this one. I looked at it online and it's way to long to post. I don't have a USB port so I can't tell you any more than the manual states. Maybe someone else has some experience with this.

I know on my PAL it has a "play all songs" options (or something like that) to let me play all the tracks on the Nano (instead of my set play-lists, Artists, albums, genre, etc.). I wonder if the interface is similar to the PAL's on the radio screen? My 'station' is X1 for the iPod.

Thanks guys, I think I might need to see if I can go to the dealer and talk to someone there, I checked the manual and from what it says it should randomize the whole usb stick.
