Using speaker baffles?
Getting ready to upgrade door speakers, ordered adapter brackets, wiring pigtails, speakers, and speaker baffles.
Reading notes on speaker baffles and some people report bad results, others say that bad results are because they didn't port the baffle. Comments say to remove 1/4 to 1/2 of the lower portions of the baffle. Anybody have a picture of a properly ported baffle? Not sure if the ported baffle, when face down, should look like a cake with one slice missing?...or the letter "D" laying on its back?...or should the section I remove look like half of a main bearing (if you're not familiar with engines, cup your hand to form the letter "C"), leaving the entire "back" of the baffle in tact?

From what Ive read..the foam baffle really only helps keep the 'wet' off the speaker..in which case leave the bottom open..or to protect the speaker from the pressures from another, say, subwoof speaker..
