What do you think about this?

Ive decided to have my 2-12" pioneer premier subs (TS-W12PRS) installed into my HHR instead of my 86' IROC. My question is how do you guy think it'll sound? They will be mounted into a bassworx dual slot ported box and powered by one of my memphis 1100d"s, the factory head unit will stay intact for the time being though, also i will have the stock sub diconnected but not removed. Ill have the rear stock mids replaced with pioneer premier 6 1/2" (TS-D601P) mids. I initially wanted to go with a sealed box but my the shop that"ll be doing the install thinks i'd like the the slot ported box will be the better choice given i listen to mostly rap music. I now i probably should of posted this in audio/video!

Of course there is no way to tell without hearing it but I think your bass is going to overpower your highs and mids.

without question. You need to upgrade the stock systme all around, plus add a six channle amp to boost their power. Infinity kappa is the way to go!

yes, as soon as i get everything installed is complete i'll post pics. Wont be untill after christmas since this will be my gift to myself and the install wont happen until the 22nd. I appreciate the feedback, and im taking the suggestion to upgade all the speakers in the future but i will keep the factory head unit for time being since i dont want the hassle of buying a new head unit and an xm tuner to keep my existing xm radio subscription. Im going to stay with the memphis 1100d since i already have two of them, and i'll use the 50x4 unit for the mids and highs. Again thanks for the reply.

Are you keeping the stock amp? Or or you going to put in another?

The factory amp and sub will be disconnected but left in place, and ill have the 50x4 unit power the front and aftermarket rears while the subs get power from the 1100 watt rms unit.
