Wiring disaster-help needed

HELP!!!!!
I just blew up my LAN4 adapter. I was planning on switching to a LAN3 anyhow, because I want to use either my head unit amp or an external amp rather than the factory one. But, I was not ready to do it quite yet.

Here's what happened. I was at my friends stereo store to have more vinyl work and window tinting done. While I was waiting, I started to install a PAC adapter so my steering wheel controls would work with my aftermarket radio. After connecting the wires, one of which I questioned (a note said I had to connect 12 volts to the white/black wire in the harness), I blew a fuse. When I replaced the fuse, I the radio worked but the stations kept changing and the volume kept going to full level. Then, I smelt something like plastic burning. I quickly disconnected everything, and decided against installing the PAC device. But, now my radio no longer works. The separate RCA jacks to my other amp work, so I get the sub sounds. But nothing from the other speakers. I think my Metra unit went south.

I just ordered the GMOS3. My question-they told me that there may be a way to jump the input and output harness's from the factory amp so that the speaker wires will be available by the radio. Is this true? What colors for which speakers?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Im not sure of the colors. But if you do a search for sub install there is a diagram around here somewhere with colors for all speaker wire before and after the amp..
