Hey all,
I recently bought new ball joints for my control arms (I've got to do the whole drill out the rivets deal). They sent me a pinch bolt, but no bolts to bolt it on. Anyone know the grade of bolt and nut that I need to attach it on? Thanks in advance!

 

Did the ad show nuts and bolts and washers? Contact the vendor you bought the ball joints from , the hardware should be included.
I prefer at least Grade 8 or 9 bolts,

 

I double checked the picture, apparently I ordered the only one without the accompanying bolts.

X2. Grade 8 bolts.

But. If the ball joints are bad, then the LCA bushings are probably worn also.
You may be better off purchasing complete LCA assemblies that have new ball joints and bushings.

 

I really would have been, but i decided to be cheap (which always works out doesn't it?). I've already got the bushings from a previous order. I just figured i'm halfway there might as well finish it. Thanks for the welcome!

I’ve looked high and low, I’m going to take a bolt out of my LCA to confirm the size that came with my Moog ball joints

Save taking out a bolt, I just measured my bolts (which I haven't installed yet, I know) and they are 1 1/2 X 3/8 with captive washer nuts.

 

I saw info in an EBay ad M10 x 1 3/4 inches. But wanted to be sure, thank you for the confirmation .
