2010 LS Suspension Parts Help
I’m ordering parts to replace the shot suspension on my 2010 HHR LS, 116000 miles. I’ve read the other posts, and I can honestly say that I’m completely confused!
Help!
These are the parts I think I should be ordering. If I’m wrong, please correct me. If I need something else, tell me.
1. Ac Delco strut assembly 903038RS & 903039RS
2. Control arm assembly. The assembly has the bushings and ball joints, correct?
Moog, Ac Delco, or ?
3. Stabilizer bar links, which ones?
if there’s anything else he should think about replacing while the car is on the lift, please tell me.
Unless something catastrophic occurs, I’m keeping this car until the wheels off and then I guess I’ll replace the wheels. My son’s doing the work, but he wants to be sure he’s ordering the correct parts and the best parts for his mother, me.
Thanks so much for your help.
** I posted this in another forum, but I think it was the wrong one. I hope this is the right one.

Right forum, here’s some part numbers for you,
https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/comm...-thread-48833/
KYB have struts with or without new springs, if you have a spring compressing tool then your saving money , full Monroe or other quick struts are easy to install
you will need to undo the swaybar endlinks so , undo the end at the swaybar and save the wrestling match with two of the bolts , one on each side.
the LCA’s are also easy , just take you time and read a few How to threads in our how to library
https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-...al-library-21/
if if you have had an alignment before the new LCA’s you should get it aligned again! It should only be the toe that needs adjusted.

I’m satisfied with the KYB and Canuck Motorsports lowering springs, the quick struts were only from Monroe back then and they had an issue of some sort.
I’ve had the rear shocks replaced once and the struts have been in the HHR since 2012 , and a lot more f miles since then.
I used to like Monroe, or Gabriel and Koni, The Bilstein on my 84 Firebird were very good , and on my 83 GMC S15 .

Note: Original sway bar links are not easy to remove. Replaced with Moog units that have the grease fittings.
I had maybe 25K on my car when I changed them out and had to use an air powered cut off wheel to cut thru the studs.
I myself like what came with the car. I replaced front and rear shocks with AC Delco from Rock Auto. The discount code helps.
