ABS braking weirdness on 2010 LT
I didn't mean your mechanic just mechanic s in general. The ones that are only literate enough to read the title listed on their code reader, not the chapter in the book.
My point being: if the code cited was something like "crankshaft sensor/camshaft sensor mismatch" that means you need a new timing chain, not new sensors.

I bought one called BlueDriver for $100.
It reads all codes (ABS, airbag, etc) and also allows you to monitor a bunch of signals in real time while you drive. If you have a sensor that drops out once in a while, this will show a running graph of the output so you can see when it drops out. It communicates with your phone via bluetooth.
