Pin tension is something many guys overlook until it's the last thing.

 

My experience over the last 13 years on this site is that pins are never even considered. Much more money involved in new computers and people are so scared of evil computers that they accept it.
If replacing the module fixes the problem it is because the pins were inadvertently straightened.
