Adjust parking brake...

My brake is not very effective. Anyone know how to adjust the cable for more
application pressure?

I am not sure if you can adjust the cable or not. If the SS rear brakes are like any other GM car, the rear calipers piston screws in and out, thus applying the parking brake as often as possible keeps things adjusted back there.

You too?!

I just got my SS back from the dealer with this exact problem! The parking brake does use the rear discs so the only adjustment they could do was up in the handle.
Whatever they did I have to take it back since now it only rolls a little slower if I don't put it in gear...

Please do not misunderstand my question below....I no very little about the SS disk brakes.

You mentioned in your other post that you had problems with the rear brakes and replaced the pads.....are you sure you did the R & R correctly.

Move the brake handle up and down a few times to adjust it...when you set the brakes its better to apply and hold the foot petal first then pull the handle..you'll have more 'squeeze' this way....

Thank you for the suggestion! I'll try this instead of trusting the dealer that used a screwdriver, instead of a nice wire removal, to pry off my rear emblem when replacing it. They will pay for the damage
