Any issues with KYB struts

I have a LT '11 . The previous owner replaced one front strut. And boy is it noisey. I want to do both front struts and am hoping the KYB are good and don't make noise.

I’ve installed KYB struts and shocks in my HHRs since March 2010, put a lot of miles on Oldblue and the BlackSwan, no problems at all.

Would you please share the part number of the KYB struts that you have used successfully? I have a 2011 2LT and it doesn't seem to ride as well as my previous 2011 2LT and I am looking for replacements.

Thank you

KYB 339084 and KYB 339085, I installed these in Oldblue with 1.5 inch lowering springs and I installed same in my 2011 2LT with OEM FE3 springs. Nice ride height, great handling.

If you don’t have a spring compressor set,

KYB SR4056
KYB SR4057

these are quick struts , just 5 fasteners per side and 1 swaybar end link fastener per side, easy peasy.

Is there any disadvantage to going with the quick struts?

No, if you’re not using lowering springs.
The Quick struts include struts, spring top plate and bearing , new springs bump stops and bellows.
No need to compress the springs , struggle with the nut or worry about parts flying and smacking your drywall, grille, passenger side door, or worse .
