I found some time to install the axle today and just in time because I felt the car was a real eyesore on stands in the driveway this week.

It went in pretty easy and I also cut a loop off the stock rear springs while they were out trying to get a little stock rake out of the back.

Pretty stoked it still holds the weight of the car and passes visual inspection as far as alignment. I'm very Interested to see what the alignment shop will see. Lots of play in the rear axle hanger brackets I'm assuming this is for aligning purposes..

Anyhow heres a pic! Lots of hammering on that rear quarter this past month, just about ready for some mud and paint soon. I need to really look at some body mods before I commit to a new color. Right now maybe just the rear wiper.

Nice work, impressed. Do not forget to paint the rear axle in place of repair. Welds tend to rot after a while.

I am very interested in the car that I see in the picture next to the white HHR. This is also yours? Do not put a photo?
