Bleeding ABS brakes. Just need to verify something.
 

When a person is bleeding brakes on a car with ABS. Does one need to always use a scan tool to pulse the ABS when bleeding or is that only if you are replacing a component which might introduce air into the ABS system? Meaning this..... If im doing just a standard pad and rotor swap and want to flush the brake fluid as one should depending on mileage. Then im good to go with only a typical bleed procedure? If theres no air in there now and i keep the master cylinder full (in my case will be using a Motive pressure bleeder) then using a scan tool to pulse air from the ABS is not needed?

No. There is no difference in the procedure. Start farthest from MC, have lovely assistant press on pedal on command. Or, use a 1-man bleeder, I got the vacuum type from Harbor Freight for about $12.
