I can't find any reference to an adjustment to the pedal in Mitchell OD. There is something about shims for the brake light switch (curiously they don't call it a position sensor).

how far does yours go Don? Mine goes a few inches off the floor. Stops the car on the move at a couple inches higher and will hold the car still if I life my foot about an inch but as far as resting my weight on the peddle it is hard about three inches from the floor. I'm curious now too what everyone's is like.

I haven't been able to drive in a year and a half, so I don't really remember. I do remember a dramatic difference with a tiny adjustment to the drums. IIRC, the rule of thumb is .5-1.5 inches is the aim, about the same as the clutch pedal.

Half an inch until firm or until the car begins to stop.... If firm then I am WAY off. lol. they catch and start slowing at about an inch though

Does the car stop well? Did you adjust the drums? Resin I'm asking is that like with mine the low pedal might not really be low it might just be something we aren't used to. My car stops on a dime when demanded on the highway. Doesnt lock up or fight back or sink to the floor. Find some used hhrs in your area and go for test drives. Compare yours to theirs. I found that my pedal was the same as a couple I tested. Could be that all three cars share the same issue but unlikely
