Well, installed my canucks this morning without a hitch, but now I have a problem. My DIC indicates that the traction control and abs need service. Has this happened to anyone else and is there a fix that I can do myself before I take in to get worked on?

Here's a quick pic right after the install and I know, its dirty.

Have you double-checked the connections for the ABS sensors on all 4 corners? Unplug/inspect/clean/replug?

I checked the passenger side front wheel assembly and plug because I wasn't sure if I had plugged it in and everything there looks great. The driver side and rears I have yet to check, but I plan on doing it this weekend.

One thing I should mention, while supporting the driver side control arm with a jack to line up the two lower strut bolts the hub slipped off the jack and kind of slid into an awkward position. It did not fall or put any unnecessary strain on the sensor leading out of the rear of the hub. That's what worries me. I think I may need to replace the driver side hub.

I think it may also be one of the rears because I did not check any of the plugs after the install as I was rushing. It maybe as simple as a plug came loose because as soon as I finished the final front strut I started the car and instantly the service lights came on and the DIC was indicating the ESC was off.

Update:
I spoke to a rep at Firestone and he said an alignment might help if the sensors are all plugged in, but the cause could be a steering calibration sensor? I've never heard of that. Could that be the actual cause?

I'm getting the alignment done tomorrow morning and I'll report back to see if that fixes the problem. If not, they are going to have to scan to pull codes.

Took my HHR to a friend of mine that has a shop and a decent scanner. The scanner reads,"left front speed sensor". Does the whole hub assembly need to be replaced or can just the speed sensor be replaced?

I had a rear speed senor go out. I had to buy the whole hub, would imagine the front is the same.
