Hello, I'm new to the forum and was wondering are the upper front strut mounts the same across the FE1, FE3 and FE5 suspensions?

 

Best place to find out is a parts outlet, either online or brick. But, I think they are the same. Just go to an online store and lie about what car you are looking for then compare part numbers, you got to be smarter than the keyboard.

They are all the same as far as they can be swapped between the 3 and still physically bolt in place.

The difference is the strut valving and springs among the FE1, FE3, FE5. The bolt up patterns are all the same.

 

Hi, anyone and ZTony, if you're still around to answer this question. Can I install a FE3 LCA on a FE1 2008 HHR? I'n ordering them from Rock Auto but are speced for an FE3 suspension.

 

According to this , yes only the FE5 has the larger sizes ball joint stub.
