Goldline springs

I came across a set of new Goldline Springs that i may purchase and I had a quick question.

Since these springs have been discontinued over 5 years ago do you see a problem with purchasing springs that have been sitting that long? I could have sworn I read somewhere that springs shouldn't sit on the shelf for to long because they won't settle correctly but I could be wrong.

Also, if I remember correctly (may be wrong), there was some problems with one of the generations of Gold Lines.

My Check the 'Balt forum for some SS/TC springs, or wait for some HHR SS springs to come up here. They do from time to time..

OR

You can go with another brand other than Goldline for lowering springs.

It's from truckshop.com I did a search on the forum and it seems like many people have used them gps-1262 is the part number which I believe is Gen2.... don't see many other springs that give a descent drop. I was also thinking Canuks. .. but it seems like Goldline is the biggest drop

Canucks are a descent drop and the handling is awesome, 4 years now and no sag or change in ride height !

Those SS springs seem like a good deal and will increase my ride
comfort. My problem is that I want something lower, I'm planning to go with 17 inch wheels and don't want a big gap.

If I were to go with the SS springs, when purchasing struts and shocks would I look for shocks for an LT or SS?

This pic was taken with factory SS springs, struts, and shocks. There is still a gap, but it's less than with the Fe1 or Fe3 springs(mine was Fe1).
