Improving 2LT brakes?

Anyway I can get more stopping power on my 09' 2LT. (with rear drums).
I carry a lot of weight for work and the brakes are the wink link of the vehicle. Thinking of trading for a SS but would like to find a cheaper way since I think the 2.4 is more reliable than the 2.0 Thanx!

That might be true, we will see with time. My 2lt had the same brakes in front as the stock SS. If you manually tighten the rears it stops ok. If you want more stopping power than that you can install the Brembos, they are amazing.:thumb:

I occasionally carry large weights. I do notice the difference in braking with 500-700 pounds, but keeping the rear drums adjusted really really makes a difference.

Recently there has been talk about putting the SS rotors and caliper bracket on the fronts.

Is this adjustment on the rear drums easy? Is the adjuster right on the back of the drum? It doesn't look like you even need to pull the wheel off.Thanx.

I have a set of SS brakes I was about to put on eBay, PM me if you are interested. I would rather see someone here get them.

Do these bolt right up and will they make a noticeable difference in stopping power? Thanx.:thumb:
