jack it up

I need to raise my 2008 up to get in my garage. Builder made driveway too step, must back in now. I need 1" lift for clearance to drive in. Anybody have the 'how to' for this?

Most parts stores carry coil spring spacers that are made of rubber. I put 2 on each spring and held them in using zip ties. Just put the car on lift (so the spring is completely relaxed), stick them in between the coils, and use zip ties to hold them in place.

ricejeep, If you haven't bought parts yet, you could try putting a treated timber..2"X12" the width of the wheels, put it so the wheels cross it just before the car contacts the floor. Had the same problem with the underside dragging on a too steep ramp. If you could locate a couple of scrap pieces of timber to try before you purchase the full size. I it works OK, secure it with anchors.

It seems that whacking the little round things makes people very angry, because the hockey "players" also seem to be amatuer boxers.

We have a hockey team in Charlotte for displaced Northerners who miss whacking things with sticks in the Winter.

Not exactly sure WHERE you are speaking of. Are you saying the driveway to the street OR the driveway to the garage?

Thanks

Thanks for all the feedback. The coil spacers sound like the easiest and least expensive option to try. Will this put additional strain on the front drive angle?
