This might sound stupid but...When I buy my shocks, do I get them for HHR or for Cobalt. Basically, do I match the shock with the spring? Will that work?

Most of the guys are running the stock HHR shocks with these so if they are still good stick with what you have.

X 2 & should the time come the SS shocks are 3/4" shorter & firmer..

Did you need to trim down the stoppers? or did you just swap-out just the springs?

I have the same springs, just swapped the springs no trimming of the bump stops.
