You really want the springs to level. Either cobalt ss rear springs or goldline leveling springs. I have the cobalt ss springs in the rear of mine. Dropped the back about an inch and a quarter. Perfectly level now.

 

Yes good combo, will lower rear 1-1/4" after settling..

GMPartsdirect . com is where I got my 'balt SS/TC rear springs years ago..

PS: I would AVOID the leveling goldlines, they bang together.. Lots of complaints...

 

As long as you are ordering the SS shocks, you could order the SS (HHR) springs and take advantage of the extra 100# of compression force. They're probably about the same price.

I did this initially in my 2lt and it leveled the car out.

 

Is it a different part number for the HHR SS springs, compared to the Cobalt SS/TC springs? If so, do you have the part number for the HHR SS springs?

 

No....just look them up on Rockauto.com. They will have the AC AND Chev. part number after the part description.

It appears that Rock Auto has the same part numbers and prices for the Cobalt and HHR rear springs.
So, you better check....if the HHR SS and the Cobalt TC have the same rear springs.

Looks like the HHR SS p/n might be #15938616...still trying to confirm. Rockauto.com does not have info on that p/n.

 

Not trying to confuse you, but here's the GM numbers right off my old original springs. Might help you figure it out.
