Maybe helpful for front control arm rear bushings…
I have changed many of these over the years on many types of cars. Always dreaded it cause if they are hard to press in the outter shell can swell and they are ruined.
Recently I put some in my wife’s car (jetta but same, same) except I cut about 3” off bottom of aluminum can and put a small candle under it to heat it….and melted paraffin wax. I used an acid brush to coat the control arm bores and the bushing outer shells. Use a small hammer to get them started in straight….both went in the easiest I have ever done.
Hopefully be of help to someone else
