OTTP sway bar

Just installed my OTTP "Hardcore" bar a few hours ago. It's a inch and a quarter , hollow, moly bar, and installation was a "Bird nest on the ground"[quick and easy].
Took the ole whoop out for a road test, on one of my more favorite, real twisty roads, and wrung it out real good. Compared to stock, it corners a lot flatter, and the rear feels a lot more glued in. It definately works and I like it.
Wish I had gotten it before this weekend. I entered the SS in the Goodguys Summer Getogether car show[since it was free for me, and was doing the pinstripers bash]. Just for chuckles I did one run late Sunday afternoon on the autocross, and almost won the SUV class. A tricked out SRT Jeep, only beat my time by a tenth, and I was running stock suspension. Maybe next time after new bar and Pedders[backordered, still waiting on] it will be a different story.
The SS drew a lot of attention, all weekend. Most everyone either did'nt even know what a HHR-SS was, or had never seen one. The hood scoop threw them a curve, most thinking it had a V6 or a V8 under the hood, and were shocked to know it was only a 4 banger, putting out over 300HP.
Anyway, thats my story, and I'm sticking to it. Til next time. "Moon"

I'd look to see if you can get a cap of some sort on the ends of that bar Moon; just to prevent water from getting in there and possible corrosion later on down the road. Off topic but: what's the part number for those ramps you have there? Are those the Rhino ramps???

Good idea. I'll put some rubber caps on the bar ends to keep water and critters out.[wonder if Trojans would work].
As for as the ramps: been so long since I've had them, can't remember what brand they are or where I got them. Kinda think it was at the old Grand Auto[now defunk Nor-Cal auto parts store.

Problem is moisture will remain and cause rust from both sides (inside and out) of the bar.

Only if they're Magnums, ribbed for the SS's pleasure....

That's why I'd put a bead of silicone around the edges after putting a cap of some type there in order to keep moisture and contaminants out. Now if the bar's powdercoated well in + out, that may do exactly what I'm proposing by capping the ends. Either way, it's Moon's bar- let him do with it as he pleases.

Agree about sealing the caps, but then the bolts go thru it also(4 more possible minimal entry points). & even if it is Powder coated, you can't get the inside completely coated.
