Depending on what tires your running, some of the sensed bounce may be sidewall flex,,, the tires may be picking up the load since the spring rates are stiffer...

New Eibachs

Guys,

I think I'll live with the car a while to sort it out. I have to say that it handles a lot better now and sits about an inch and a half lower. (not as low as Goldlines though)

Did those who had alignments done.....was there any adjustment needed or was it correct out of the box?

Check out my pix..not huge but not so ridiculus looking now.

I think this drop is just about right for these cars....gives em that stance and look of being serious.....the stock springs make it look top heavy...kinda like a van
Alot of people ran it lke it was and some had it aligned...HHR Boutique I believe has a set of numbers to use for the shop....otherwise the only thng to adjust is toe unless you install the camber kit....most of us have no wear problems as it is......

Woody,

I agree, I think of it as being on their "tip-toes" like a ballerina.

Chevrolet seems like one of the worst offenders of this look. I have lowered 3 Corvettes to get the correct stance. You won't see Audis or BMWs all hiked up in the air because they "get it" in the looks department.

I always wondered why they have so much ground clearance which makes em feel wobbly, especially in winds....even the half ton trucks went up, think they are 4by s or something...

Lowered on the Eibachs

Guys,

I sware that the HHR appears lower than a week ago, I'm more pleased. The ride is a touch roughers but either I got used to it or else settling has helped out.

Perhaps I'll compare the readings in inches again this weekend and compare. It had gone down by roughly 1.5 inches all around last reading.

Eibachs

Guys and girls,

After driving through our recent east coast winter storm** either I'm used to the stiffer ride or the handling improvement is worth the small trade-off in cushiness.

I swear that car looks lower than when I did it a 4 weeks ago. (at the time of measurement it had 200 miles placed on it)

The rear wheel spacing way better than it did before the operation so it may have settled down a tad more recently.

I keep pushing it harder and harder around corners to see when it will break free, it handles much flatter than before. It used to be a bit "tippy".

I'm pleased.
