Rear Disc brakes

Has anyone tried to swap out Cobalt rear discs fot the HHR drums?

Not that I'm going to do it, but after seeing the SS and knowing the comonality of the Cobalt and HHR I'm just wondering.

i don't remember who but a member of this forum did it

HVROD did it, but his rear disc set-up wasn't from a Cobalt. He got the kit from some website, I don't remember which... It would be an awesome mod, but a little too pricey for me right now

The company he got them from, I believe, is no longer in business.

Yep... forgot to mention that :red:

Thanks :thumb:

I agree.. I kinda get annoyed when the same topic is talked about over and over again in more than one thread. Not only is it cluttering the site with repetitive crap, it is also confusing and takes an unreasonable amount of time when looking for information about something...

I did check and no one had done it yet, just talked about the cost of parts. Sorry guys, don't get annoyed, just don't read the post.

Oh, no, dude.. My response wasn't really aimed at this one.. This topic has been in maybe 2 or 3 discussions, and all were pretty brief... ;)

Yeah, this topic is sparse. THE OP is cool with me.

A new thread on discs/drum swapping is not a bad idea since there is not much discussion about it any more.
A year ago there was.

Lots of new folks coming on board and despite SEARCH being a great tool, sometimes ya gotta know how to phrase something.

Besides, I see the opposite sometimes. You bring a thread back from the dead and get yelled at:lol:
We humans sure are hard to please, eh:roll:

Heck I have a hard time finding a few of MY OWN posts that I want to reference:red:

Anyway, I will be talking about 4wDisc brakes too since I'm hoping the rears and a sensor or two from the HHRSS can be worked into our standard models. I'm intrigued by better braking and handling, even more so than more HP.
