Rear sway bar questions

Searching didn't yield anything - is there a list of available rear sway bars & their pros & cons? Suggestions for a stock FE3 HHR?

Is the rear sway bar shared with the Cobalt/G5/Ion? (Might open up options looking for secondhand swaybars.)

From what I'm reading this is probably the best bang for the buck for tightening the suspension & reducing body roll for the FE3 HHR?

Oh, there’s plenty of old discussions about sway bars, the TTR rear sway bar is very popular and is still available

Progress are still on the CarID site

I guess "didn't yield anything" isn't really accurate, more like "yielded so much random stuff that it was hard to find anything terribly relevant." lol I was hoping I was overlooking some kind of consolidated information somewhere. Thanks :)

Then it’s a matter of sift and search, I’ve had a TTR bar in Oldblue for several years, a noticed improvement soon as it was bolted up.
That took all of five minutes in ramps, no holes to drill, just slide in the captured bolts hold the bar up with the floor jack and thread in the bolts finger tight, don’t forget a little thread lock , torque to spec, and done!

Several brands/types out there.
Was discussed a "lot" years ago when people got their HHR's and were looking for some help with the handling.
I'm happy with my choice.

you have TTR, Powell and Eibach for sway bars...pretty much all the same unless you autocross or something then it matters..but for daily use, either one of them is fine. Just depends on how much you want to spend

I too have the FE3 sport tuned suspension on my '08 Panel 2LT.

I got my TTR rear bar back in '09 I believe, That has made a night & day difference in handling on mine. I did also swap rear coil springs to Cobalt SS/TC rear springs, which about leveled my stance. Lowering the rear 1-1/4"

The combo has made it like driving almost on rails.

The TTR bar is solid steel & powder coated. It works & still looks good after all these years. :twothumbs:

I've not tried any others to make a comparison to, main reason was because once I installed this one, I didn't feel it necessary to try others.

Thanks all, I'll probably order a TTR when I can justify the spending. :)

I would Watch the TTR site as they occasionally offer a discount sale.
