replacing frt struts, which ones?
replacing frt struts, which ones?
I finally bought a second HHR. This time it's a white 2011, 1LT, 2.2 with 56k miles. I'm replacing the lower control arms and the frt struts. Rear shocks will soon follow. Yet, I can't decide on the best struts too use. I live in the central mountains of AZ, about 2 hrs south of the grand canyon. I love driving the HHR like it's a R8 but I need better road control. I'm hoping the KYB's will provide that stickyness. Anyone with a suggestion?

Can confirm, KYB's firm.
Wouldn't use anything else.
And they now have "loaded" strut assemblies, which I used on my 2.2. Forgot to measure the height before removal, but suspect the new spring are a tiny bit higher. Quite sure they're firmer. My LS of course came with "soft ride" dampening. Not any more. Love the more assertive handling.
