Tall Rally style Coilovers
 

I'm looking for solid coilovers that can accommodate a slightly taller than stock ride height and work well in rough conditions. I'm sick of bending rims bottoming out on potholes.

This guy has Malibu struts in front and PT Cruiser springs in the back, I think. Didn’t add a lot, maybe less than 2 inches? Will try to remember which generation of Malibu. 2009 sticks in my mind but not sure. Your car came with FE1 “soft ride” dampeners. Just switching to the SS dampeners might help a bit.

Rims bend , no matter your ride height, you need stiffer side walls in your tires! And taller springs

Those look good the Malibu struts look good as well. Heavier springs and more travel as well. I guess I'm going to research the Hi Jackers. None listed but I just need the correct ends and travel to work

16" dually style wheels would look awesome on this. I'll just need to turn up some spacers and adapters on the lathe. Spacer adapters for the front and thin adapters for the back. Probably 3-4" wider in the back. Hopefully truck wheels will hold up. I have 3 bent stocker's laying around.

I’ve bent the rims on my daully, train tracks are brutal, I upgraded to more ply tires!

Crap I used to launch my truck 10' and land on all kinds of stuff and never bent the 15x8 wagon steel wheels. I generally flog my trucks, 4 wheelers etc and never bent a rim!!!

Off road , yes they should last , but on road there’s so many more obstacles, potholes, train tracks, frost joints on bridges, curbs
Off road tires are also designed to handle and protect the rims from rocks and logs and rough landings
