The dealer, most likely, WON'T install the EBC brakes, but you should be able to find an independent mechanic (or shop) that will do it for you.
(If anyone is interested, I can recommend an EXCELLENT shop in Germantown, Maryland.)
I have been a driver since 1974 and NEVER had this kind of problem on any of my cars, including race cars and sports cars. I had my rotors cut at about 7000 miles, and they have needed it for the past 6 months but I have put off bringing my car in until I had my other car ready to use. Now, I am past the 12000 warranty and they want about $200 just to cut them again. No way. I planned on getting replacements anyway.
I know they are supposed to be easy to change, but how easy? Is it hard getting the caliper off? Are the EBC the best rotors, and which of the brake pads are you people using for 'spirited' street driving?

I just had mine done under warranty. It really only exibited the problem at freeway speeds. We have 11,800k, it started at about 8500k. My wife doesn't drive it on the freeway so she doesn't notice any difference. Like a lot of others, I have never owned a car that did this.
Has anyone tried rotors and pads from NAPA? I've always used them on my other cars and have been very satisfied. The EBC rotors look nice, but this isn't a truely high performance car, I'm not sure I could justify the expense.
