When you do get them replaced. be sure your rear brakes are adjusted properly. My fronts went out in a very short while after the mechanic didn't feel it was necessary to adjust the rears on replacement. It makes the fronts do all of the work and they warp. There are many, many posts on warped rotors on our site. Check them out.

i did read some of posts. based on what i read i want to upgrade instead of replace with gm units. dealer will install & give me credit for gm rotors.

What is "cc" ?? See you have an SS so adjusting the brakes is not an issue. Do you have Brembos? Choices can be limited when replacing Brembo rotors and pads.

no brembos. Cruise Control.

This. I have been having the same issue. Replaced with aftermarket rotors but it happened again in short order. I read the posts on here about the rear brakes not re-adjusted properly. It has been a couple of months and no sign of a shutter so far. The first couple of times I redone the brakes (resurfaced 1st time - replaced the 2nd time) the shutter was back within about a month.

It is definately worth checking.

You have 4 wheel disc brakes. The adjustment problems are for the non-SS's with rear drum brakes.
