Off road use only. In California, we have an option for "non-op" status. Pay DMV, I think $20, and that's the end of it. It can no longer be operated, or even parked, on public roadways. That means it needs to be trailered or otherwise towed to anywhere you want to take it. But no more smog testing!

We used to have to pay the fee every year, but now only the one time. If you decide you want to drive it on public roads again, you pay the current fees, smog check if applicable, and you get new tags.

Did you read the sentence about checking if your locality has an "off road" class? Kind of indicates that I did read ALL of your splurge.
Glass houses and all that.
I suggest that you stick to Facebook for advice on such matters.

Megasquirt is an affordable aftermarket fuel injection and ignition ECU. Support a wide range of engines and has many race features built-in. Give yourself the power to tune.

Not trying to get rid of you, but FMG is correct, you'd be better served on the MSExtra support forums.

As far as being more professional, if you could negotiate with Internet Brands, so we could get paid for our time here, that would make us professional, by definition.

What's Al Gore got to do with any of this?

I think the Al Gore thing is a 100 foot reach to a tree hugger inference. Canadians making US political jokes.
Pretty weird how stating a fact can offend people to the extent they don't read anything else. I wonder why I didn't just close the thread.
I thought they have GoOgle in Canada; you can find lots of ways around laws with it.

My opinion. This is the wrong forum for you. Find a racing, off-road or hotrod type forum.
...maybe one where insults and sarcasm are the norm, and civility is an undefined term. Not hard to find.

There are members here who can answer the question very well, if they want to.

Presumably the ice racing is a low budget hobby. KYB dampeners will be the best bang for the buck.

I’ve ice raced, and had a lot of fun. It’s not just a Canadian thing, they race on the ice in many northern states.

The more I think about it, the more I think ice racing would be the very first racing I'd want to try, lol.
