review of delta show....

well, what can i say..my neck is burned from all the sun..could not ask for a better day..good turnout(didnt see many HHR)myself, prod and I do belive canuck was there with his o so sweet HHR SS...the story behind it is worth a coffee for sure..lucky bugger..but i guess 30 years with GM you well desrve it..nice ride..prod nice job too..i can see more mods in the near future..you had that look in you eye..all around a good time was had..met some nice people..unfortunantly some guys showed in suvs and thought it was a stereo competition..im sure the guy that was paid to dj was impressed as well as the owner of the dealership..none of us brought home any shiny things but that show really wasnt for us..more the tuner group..maybe next year they could have a class for us maybe..hard to compare apples and oranges..we kinda fit in better with the mini truckin crowd..it was kinda funny as i watched the peolple go by..the younger crowd really dont know what to make of it..it rings no bells for them aside from chrome and paint but the older crowd sure seem to pay alot of attention to them..and again..missed the 50/50 by 4 numbers again..thats two weeks in arow..anyway..i thanked one of the guys from occ for inviting the HHR group to the show..cleaned up all the garbage in my immediate area(as all good car guys should)and left without any problems with traffic or cops..I would gladly go again if asked just my 2 cents.....

I had that sweet HHR SS at the Deltas, and that look in my eye. Thanks for the compliment.
Here is a link to the Ontario Cobalt Club where some of the ppl have put their own links to pictures taken at the show. I have a number of them myself but don't have them up yet. ( sorry )

sorry gary wasnt sure of your handle..was just reading some post from OCC and seems alot of *****in goin on over the show(trophies)..make me laugh..these kids are all in for all the wrong reasons..if a trophie is what you want out of a show..then it all turns into a wallet competition..you want nice???40-50 000% buys ya ALOT of nice..I seen alot of that..the young girl that won 3..deserved it...she worked hard..not big bucks..admitted she had help but was very prompt in telling me what she had done her self..its nice to see the young guys getting xcited about cars more than drugs and with the cost it keeps them workin hard to buy more parts..the only thing I look forward to winning at a criuse in is the 50/50 or maybe a door prize..meeting new people and making new friends is what its all about..its what makes us different that brings us all together...even at the show..the father of the kid with the sick blue suburu awd(holy crap was nice)offered and drove to timmies for us..when i offered to pay he said..never mind..your among friends here..that alone made the show even more enjoyable..I think next year they may scrap the awards...wanna trophie ...here ya go...

The post discussion crying is a bit of a turn off. But it is going to happen. Just think... these are grown men acting like children over a trophie. It is a show and shine. Why do they need a prize for that.... Guess that could get into a long discussion. Enough said.

I had a good day. Loved the cars, and there was a lot of them. Guess I am going to have to make it out to these shows ( and the classics of course ) a lot more often. I will keep in mind the shows down your way for next year.
Glad to hear you had a good time also. And you finally got your Timmies. lol

good deal..we have much better looking girls at our shows too..not so trashy..the blonde in the fur knee boots was a real prize..nuthin like wearin fur fur in 90 degree weather..our local cruise night has a beer tent(welland)and some have events(stupid fun contests)like slow drags, horseshoes etc..to keep you busy while at the show..scrape by the lake has a great wet t contest but you better be pretty moded up to attend(wild customs)as far as you see..motorcycle stunt show was pretty cool too..hope to see you down here next year...WILLS CHEV in town here does the same thing as FOSS did..ill post when i hear of that for next season...be really nice to see more HHR members attend next year..was a very poor turnout considering we were invited...
