Anyone in town had or planning on the GM stage 1 kit for the SS?
Obviously it just came out, and with the weather here, its more a spring project.

Plus, in reading the threads in the 2.0L, it seems that there's still some communciation coming out to the dealers/installers about the install.

I have a feeling, with very few SS's around here, that even in 3 or 4 months, I'll still be the guinea pig car at the dealer for this install.

I was quoted $950 CDN from the dealer I purchased the SS at, plus install. As in that forum, recommended time should be 1h to install, but most are seeing longer times at dealers that don't know what's going on for those early adopters, partially as they don't have the complete information for the install.

But to pump up the SS (auto) by 55hp? All covered under the GM warranty? Done and done.

Edit: First I guess I should determine how many in town even have SS's. I saw one just before I was to purchase this one in April (which I bought off a showroom floor), only 2 dealers had any in inventory at that time, and may have seen 1 red and 2 black SS in the past 8 months on the roads. Can there really be under 10 HHR SS's in a city of 1 million?

I'm in Regina Saskatchewan and I have seen 3 other SS's so I would imagine you have a few more in Canada. I have the stage kit and just waiting to install it. If I were you I would call around and get some info and prices from all the dealers around you, and ask for references. Then get it installed. Good luck.

Wow, 950 for the stage 1 kit, I guess we best be looking around, I was qouted over a thousand a couple of weeks ago, and they figured 2 hours to do the job, we were think all together around the 1200 mark. we have a 08 black SS and located in the Olds area.we have not yet seen another SS and we go to calgary quite a bit. we also did a run to BC last summer. they do seem few and far between, which just makes us enjoy them more.
