Blue- A Very Sweet ride that '48 Poncho Torpedo, your Mom had great taste.

John- No worries, I was happy to learn of the Holdens. Never seen or knew of them prior to your great pics, You like me, definitely like Panels..

Greybeard- I would pick the Linclon / Buick / Caddy, & sell it to buy a couple Holdens..

John- Very Cool, I am the oldest in my clan (2 younger sisters), so I am the bearer of all the family pic books. My dad was a truck guy, & I have no clue what his 1st New one was ?
He loved Ford trucks, but for cars it was always Chevies..

So who is next to post a pic, for us to try & name what it is ?

John- Exactly right & 1948 was the 1st F-1 & 49 still had same grille as the as all 3 years ('48/ '49 & '50).. Dad had a 1948 F-6 single axle dump w/239" Flatty V-8 engine. I cut my teeth on driving that one with no synchronizers in the trans.

Beautiful car ! Without google research , I would lean to early 60's Merc . I like the flip up headlights. and the no front bumper styling, one button door entry. The more I look at it looks more like '57 with single headlights. Almost has the '60 Ford Starliner roof line. Could be Dodge but I'll still go with FoMoCo....John
