Welcome my friends to the show that never ends!!!
just in honor of the holiday, we have National Unity Day today.
in folk stile song called "Ural Ridge". I liked the video, the filming is in my native Urals. I grew up in these places, summer school holidays. The Chusovaya River, the Boets rock, the cliffs - everything is like from my childhood, it just looks gloomy. In fact, these are very picturesque and joyful places.

I loved a beautiful, tall falcon.
I loved him with all my soul, but he went to the army.
What kind of life do soldiers have? They'll take you - just hold on.
Their bags will rattle, their parents will groan.
Oh, my dear little darling, how could they call you up?
And where are you going to go to fight, so young?
Oh, war! Oh, war... What has it done?
She took my , rosy, white darling to the front.
I didn't think how needles grow on a fir tree,
I didn't think that my darling would be given a rifle.
I'm walking and I'm met by currant bushes,
and my darling went to defend the Motherland
I don't know where he was killed, and I don't know where he's buried,
I only know that my darling died for the Motherland.
Girls, pray to God for the war to end!
And if the war doesn’t end, not a single one of them will get married!
I attended a concert which was a tribute band for John Fogerty, and they did a great job! the lead singer Justin Ploof wo is from Minneapolis area (Minnesota) has written and published a single on CD with all the proceeds going to Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund.
It is an overdue thanks to the veterans of the Vietnam War. song starts at about 2:24
This struck me hard as it brought back memories of my cousin who was on his final flight before he was due to come home reported MIA on December 27 of 1967 . we didn't find out until April of 2000 that his plane was located off the coast of North Vietnam, with the full crew still on board. He was LT commander and Pilot. at least he didn't waste away in a prison camp. December has always been a tough month. I was only 10 years old but he was one guy I always looked up to.
