2010 LT Axle Spindle Size

Hi! I'm working on replacing a bearing, and went to buy an axle spindle nut. A parts store sold me an M20 nut that just slid over the threads of the spindle, and others online list the same size. The OD of the threads on both front axles measures around 19mm. Could these be aftermarket CV shafts, or should I be looking for a different size spindle nut? Thanks in advance...

Could be. Or your the nut you bought was wrong.

Oldblue, Cat Man, thanks for the pointers! These on the car have a 30mm nut size also, so I'm thinking the guy just gave me the wrong one (it was not packaged, just got it out of a bin and said "Here ya go!"). I've got one on order at this point, hope they deliver the right one.

Cheers!

One set of axles I got had a different wrench size nut included, same thread though. I have reused the nut and am alive to tell about it, as many others have (most shops reuse)

If the new hub comes with the nut, fine I’ll use the new nut but I have reused axle nuts when I didn’t have a new one.
