Clutch fluid leak at junction to transmission
Installing new clutch but have come across a leak at the junction block to the slave cylinder at the top of the transmission. is there a seal that goes on the metal pipe coming from the slave or ???? Have tried this over and over and it still leaks from the junction block into the clutch/bell housing....Would appreciate any remedy.

This picture does not indicate one, however that type of connector needs a forceful push and a NEW circlip. The circlip engages behind the second ring on the tube (closest to the master cylinder).

the leak is on this fitting. drips directly into the bell housing
this is the fitting that is clipped onto the pipe to the slave cylinder. i am using the correct clip as the one listed in the parts catalog doesn't fit.
I hope these photos shed some light on my problem. i have tried different clips but as far as i can see there is not any type of soft seal in this setup.

Hmm. Oil cooler on a 2008. Guess we're talking about a SS with the Saab MU3 5 speed. (Pull that little black inspection cover and it will be stamped on the backside with the Saab name )
Would have been nice to say it was a SS in your 1st post. Donbrew might have given you sketches of the regular HHR F23 trans. and not the SS's F35.
You should clarify if this is indeed a SS.

I have purchased the clips and the new clip fits the delivery tube to the junction block but not the connector to the slave cylinder tube. i had to reuse the clip i had as it is longer than the ones called for by 1/4 inch. This junction leaks like a seive, like i'm missing a gasket or o-ring. This car has been apart for months but i don't recall any seal rings or gaskets.

Here is a good pic of the elbow, GM P/N 24252286, I think this is what you're calling a junction block. I don't see any seal here, either, just the clip holds it.
CED has the elbow Ecotec Clutch Pipe Elbow 24252286 as well as the clip CLIP, CLU ACTR CYL PIPE 88958853 or you can google the part numbers.
What is strange is that the diagram I posted shows 2 of clip #22, but the description says that only 1 of that part is required. So your statement that the 2 clips are different makes some sense. It may be worth it to get a new elbow assembly.
