Hard Shifts
Update
I pulled the pan today, and the fluid was about as bad as any I have ever seen. It wasn't low though. Cleaned everything up, and check all pipes with a mirror and none are cracked. Drove it again and it shifts great sometimes, and sometimes it's hard. No overdrive at all, and it seems the torque converter still isn't locking up. I'm charging my Snap On Verus now so I can look at the torque converter and other data tomororw, mostly for the hell of it. My cheap scan tool doesn't show much.
Just ordered the 6 piece solenoid and pressure switch kit from Oregon Performance. I have a feeling that's going to do the trick, but wish me luck anyway! :) Thanks for the help guys!
I'll follow up once I get the electronics replaced.

Just wanted to follow up for future reference. Cleaning the MAF fixed the lean code and replacing the solenoids and pressure switch fixed the overdirve and P0842 code. I suspect the pressure switch was the culprit but replaced everthing just in case. I drove it for a few weeks, and it runs great. Sadly I ended up selling it though. It was just too small to carry all of my tools.
I'm now on the hunt for an HHR SS for a daily driver and I'm going to use my daily driver 97 Ranger for a work truck.
I'll be back!
