Question for Don Brew:

Wife's 2006 had air leak problem at front intake hose. One hour later after taking complete filter assemble out, firmly tighten intake hoe and then mount onto block end and check engine light off. The air cleaner is a real mess...poor engineering. Next her TRAC Control light came on..the trans did not shift from 1st to other gears (automatic) smoothly. It had a distinct lurch. Trans flushed at 90,000 by previous owner using B&G product. I'm at 125,000..should I change filter and drop pan for a complete fluid change 7.7 qts? Due for oil change now and most quick lube don't know enough about automatic trans to trust them..any suggestion, even in Fredericksburg area. Trust you're well. Haven't forgotten about ice cream and no ethanol gas run...wife complained about portion size at historic Fredericksburg ice cream stan..owner responded he's been filling cups for 45 years. Wife's point was you could see cup bottom all way around, therefore skimping on fill. Regards, Bill

Did you forget the MAF connection on the air filter housing? I would not worry about changing ATF ever, unless you are using it as a taxicab.
