TTR Upper Engine Mount

I got the TTR Upper mount installed. I am really digging it. A while back I installed the TTR front and rear trans mounts and I thought the car was great. Really felt like the engine was attached to the car. Easy to feel clutch engagement and no more slop while accelerating/engine braking. Well now its X2. Feels way better than I expected. Also I have been having some wheel hop issues and some people have stated this upper mount does nothing to help that but it was definitely the missing piece to my wheel hop issue. With the 3 TTR mounts I have had no wheel hop The downside to this mount is added vibes in the car...again X2 It is a very stiff mount. The stock mount you can move around with your hands. This one does not budge. The vibration issue is mainly when taking off, when your engine chugs. Otherwise not bad. The one other thing I want to mention is I ordered it in polished which I would have thought would be polished metal. It was actually painted a pearlescent silver so it looks polished. The paint chipped off on every bolt that I tightened down. Did I say chipped off? I meant blasted off. That paint is hard as heck too and a few pieces hit me in the face. Any way not noticeable unless you look close though.

Here are some pics of the mounts:

And for your viewing pleasure...

Smooth. I used to have chop marks at the end and it felt bad. Or if I rolled on it hard in first it would hop. Now they just spin perfect until I get grip.

I though I was bad for wearing the tread off tires, Ha Ha I think Tire rack might like your foot better than mine.

I am wearing these tires out fast! Lol The inside of my fenders are covered with rubber. I have 4k miles on them and I have worn about 5mm of tread off the front. The Hankook label is still clearly visible in the rear set and its maybe a .5mm deep. They won't make it to 10k

Ha Ha Ha ......I can't help it either, I rotate at about 4000 to try to keep the wear even. These new 255's grab pretty good, but the real difference was in the ride quality........smooth.......

Thanks for the write up, yes the polished is a powder coat, special for the automovite industry.
