That purple looks pink, won't look anything like what I did. I used standard Krylon purple found at WalMart (among other places) The pearl I used was a multi color flake, I don't remember what brand. What you linked to looks like silver flake. Look into something that claims to be "color changing" in the red-blue spectrum and go very light with the coat so it's subtle. That will get you closer.

It's a little different now... Lowered all around, slightly different wheels, parking lot dents.

Great explanation and info. Found the Walmart plum purple. The pearl is slightly more of a challenge but I'll keep reading your guide.
